What to Know Before You Buy a Home

STAGE 1: THE PRE-APPROVAL STAGE

During the pre-approval stage, you are the most important player on the team! After discussing your goals with our loan experts, the team reviews your documentation, credit report, and goes over the different loan options available that best fits your needs. At this point, Ameridream Home Loans provides you with a pre-approval letter to utilize in your home search!

STAGE 2: THE UNDERWRITING STAGE

Congrats, you have found your home! During the underwriting stage, an underwriter reviews the submitted documentation you have provided in order to issue a conditional approval.

STAGE 3: THE CONDITIONAL APPROVAL & APRAISER STAGE

This is an exciting step in the process! During the conditional approval stage, you receive the first indication that your loan application has been approved subject to appraisal. A licensed 3rd party Appraiser estimates the value of the home you are about to purchase.

STAGE 4: THE CLEAR TO CLOSE STAGE

You’re almost there! During the clear-to-close stage, the underwriter “double checks” that all documentation has been provided, and all conditions have been met. We prepare the final documentation that needs to be signed at closing, and reach out to all parties to schedule the targeted closing date!

STAGE 5: THE CLOSING STAGE

Hooray! During The Closing Stage you sign the final documentation, including your title documents, and receiving the keys to your new dream home! That wasn’t too hard, right!? Welcome Home.
